An encounter with Sophia (Natasha Richardson, Maid in Manhattan), an exiled Countess employed as a bar girl, inspires him to open his own club, but only if she will work for him. Sophia's in-laws (two-time Oscar-nominee Lynn Redgrave) and Sarah (Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave), greedily pocket her income, but denounce her as a bad influence on her daughter. When Japanese troops invade the city, a mass exodus ensues! Alone and afraid, Sophia clings to the only hope left to her - finding her missing daughter! Show more Show less

A young man of just 22, dressed in a black beret and a dark narrow suit, is on an airplane flying from St Petersburg to Paris. It is 1961 and Rudolf Nureyev, not yet the imperious figure of legend, is a member of the world-renowned Kirov Ballet Company, travelling for the first time outside the Soviet Union.Parisian life delights Nureyev and the young dancer is eager to consume all the culture, art and music the dazzling city has to offer. But the KGB officers who watch his every move become increasingly suspicious of his behavior and his friendship with the young Parisienne Clara Saint. When they finally confront Nureyev with a shocking demand, he is forced to make a heart-breaking decision, one that may change the course of his life forever and put his family and friends in terrible danger. From Nureyev’s poverty-stricken childhood in the Soviet city of Ufa, to his blossoming as a student dancer in Leningrad, to his arrival at the epicentre of western culture in Paris in the early 1960s and a nail-biting stand-off at the Le Bourget airport, “THE WHITE CROW” is the true story of an incredible journey by a unique artist who transformed the world of ballet forever. The Atlantic's first feature documentary is the definitive inside story of the movement that has come to be known as the alt-right. With unprecedented access, White Noise tracks the rise of far-right nationalism by focusing on the lives of three of its main proponents: Mike Cernovich, a conspiracy theorist and sex blogger turned media entrepreneur; Lauren Southern, an anti-feminist, anti-immigration YouTube star; and Richard Spencer, a white-power ideologue. As white-nationalist violence surges in America and across the world, White Noise represents an urgent warning about the power of extremism, and where it's going next. Show more Show less

VA SAVOIR is an elegant and utterly charming comedy about the romantic misadventures of Camille and Ugo - a theatre director and his leading lady - whose already complicated relationship becomes exponentially more difficult when they become entangled in the lives of four other people. As funny as it is touching, as smart as it is silly, VA SAVOIR is an endearing and delightful comedy of the heart and soul.

This powerful documentary shows that despite America's extraordinary medical resources, our health care system is failing a large part of the population. One out of six Americans has no coverage and cannot afford basic care. They must rely on public clinics whose funding is shrinking. We see a woman with a malignancy that spread because she couldn't get treatment; a man with high blood pressure who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage because he could not afford medication; a woman in labor who was not accepted at two hospitals because she had no insurance.Poor children are at greatest risk. In the U.S., which ranks 20th in infant mortality, nearly 40,000 infants die every year because they are born prematurely with low birth weight. Two-thirds of these deaths occur among mothers with little or no prenatal care. The cruel irony of our system is that, while denying routine preventive care to millions, it often gives dying patients useless care they don't want. Last year, $50 billion was spent on patients in their last six months of life. In the intensive care unit of New York City's Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. David Finley illustrates how difficult it is to withdraw life support equipment. The documentary explores the complicated issue of organ transplants, where huge sums of money are spent for the benefit of the relatively few. While it may seem callous to evaluate life-saving technology in terms of costs, such choices are being made. College Adult Show more Show less
